Giving yourself Grace

I hear this phrase being touted continuously by Christians right now. How they keep stepping back and giving themselves grace in a middle of the pandemic. It was just said again to me last week. Whenever this phrase is used I think of William Wilberforce. This man who gave up his health his fortune his everything to do what he believed God called him to do. He gave of his everything. The epitome of the Parable of the Widow‘s Mite. Mark 12 :41-44 and Luke 21:1-4. simply put. This poor women gave of her all. Not when it was convenient or easy. She didn’t give herself grace saying she needed this more. 'Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood.'"
This follows along the same teaching as Love your Neighbor as yourself. Simple direct but seems to be the hardest part of Christianity, Christians cannot grasp. There is an old saying, perhaps you dear reader or have heard before” ...Of not me?...then who? If not now?... Then when?”
Stop thinking of you and think of others
