A new type of Christmas

Don’t go see your family but get presents delivered ...that have been touched by half a dozen strangers whose personal hygiene you have no way of knowing. Makes sense right? No not really. Common sense has flown out the window and instead in its place is fear. The preservation of self has been made supreme and sadly in a season where Christians should shine the brightest! We fail. One case in point ...Our church recently did a toy drive in conjunction with our food pantry. 6 families out of a church of 50 families brought gifts. Is it so hard to be altruistic? Or scared that as you grab groceries you can’t go down Kroger’s toy aisle grab some books and a frozen toy? (yep they sell frozen toys at Kroger)

The American Church is going the way as the American self...Me Me Me. The stories that come from WWII of Christians hiding Jews. Or priests, monks, nuns, and clergy helping and braving the plagues of Europe. But now in a 90%survival rate for the young and health, Christians can’t be bothered to get a toy. We are in a sorry state. There is spiritual warfare going around us Witches were walking the streets of Louisville casting spells yet Christians cannot gather to pray. It seems the witch community has more faith then the average churxh goer. If that doesn’t speak volumes, I don’t know what would. I am asking you to be radical church to live radically and to help actually help by doing something. As my minister preached. ”Don’t waste your CRISIS!”
